Translation of the Qur'an will be taught in all universities in Pakistan

Pakistan's parliament has approved a proposal to teach translation of the Holy Quran in all universities. On Monday (July 14th), the proposal put forward by the country's Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ali Mohammad Khan was passed unanimously.

According to Pakistani media Geo News, Speaker Asad Kaiser made the proposal at a session of the National Assembly chaired by him.

It said that teaching Urdu translation of the Qur'an would open a new horizon of knowledge for our generation. For this reason, the Qur'an should be taught with meaning in the universities of the provinces where the Qur'an is not taught with translation.

Later, the proposal raised by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister was passed unanimously in the Parliament. Recently, it was decided to teach the Holy Quran with translation in the universities of Punjab, the most populous province of Pakistan.
