From Teknaf of Cox's Bazar, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 80,000 Yaba Baris. BGB said the two men were smuggling yaba shipment.

They were arrested on Wednesday night at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday. They are Mohammad Junayed (20) and Mohamed Zohar (30), resident of Dhaliapara of Maungdaw city.

In the press release, Teknaf 2 BGB Battalion Director Lt Col SM Ariful Islam said, a special patrol team of Dumdemia Border Police on the basis of secret information went to the area at 8 o'clock. Later, they detained two people of Myanmar from the boat after chasing them. In the floating jaricane, wrapped in polythene bags, 79 thousand 273 pieces of yaba pills wich value is Tk 2.7 crore.

Teknaf 2 BGB deputy commander Major Shariful Islam Jumdder said in the first light, two cases were filed under the immigration law and drug law, handed over to the two traffickers detained by Teknaf police station.

Teknaf Model Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mine Uddin Khan said that he was sent to the court in Cox's Bazar.
