Skin Diseases: Air humidity is low in winter. Dry air absorbs water from the skin. As a result, the skin becomes weak. The sweat and oil glands of the skin cannot produce sweat or oil properly. This causes the skin to gradually become drier, cracked and weaker. Sometimes the skin crack.

Various skin diseases can occur during winter. Itching, eczema, scabies, skin diseases etc. occur especially on the skin of the lips, hands and feet. Besides, there is a lot of dandruff on the head. So it is very important to take care of the skin in winter.

The disease is especially important in the elderly and children. It can also lead to sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia etc. Influenza can cause serious illness or death in people at high risk. For example, pregnant women, children under five years or 59 months, elderly, people suffering from chronic diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, long-term lung disease, kidney, liver disease and AIDS or cancer patients.

But vaccination should be done every year. Vaccination is especially important for people who are in contact with people who are at high risk of complications from influenza.

Pneumonia: Pneumonia is an inflammatory disease of the lungs. Pneumonia is usually caused by viral, bacterial and fungal infections. Elderly people, those suffering from various diseases for a long time or those with weak immune system are more susceptible to pneumonia. Pneumonia in children is a major problem in winter. Pneumonia is a serious disease. Pneumonia is one of the leading causes of death among children under five years of age, including in Bangladesh. About 25 thousand children die of this disease in Bangladesh every year. The poorest and most disadvantaged children are most at risk of dying from pneumonia.

Children and the elderly suffer more from pneumonia. However, it is a preventable and treatable disease.

Light and soft warm clothes suitable for winter should be used. Bathing in tolerably hot water is an easy way to keep the body disease-free.

Allergies and Asthma: Allergies and asthma are well-known winter problems. Allergies and asthma often go hand in hand, although one may appear earlier than the other. Repeated sneezing-coughing with shortness of breath causes chest pressure and noise. At this time, the tendency to get cold increases. It is important to stay away from things that cause allergies.
