Nearly three lakh Rohingya Muslims fled to Bangladesh in two weeks
A Myanmar minister told the BBC - All of the Rohingya Muslims who fled to Bangladesh will not be returned.

Myanmar Rehabilitation Minister In Mayotte Ayy said that the Rohingya can prove that they lived in Myanmar, and Myanmar citizens - only they would be able to return.

The BBC's correspondent says that the number of Rohingyas who can return to Myanmar will be very limited - because most Rohingya have not been given citizenship.

After the violence started in the last two weeks in Rakhine province, nearly three hundred Rohingyas crossed the Muslim border and took shelter in Bangladesh.

On the other hand, Amnesty International says that they have evidence that the Myanmar-Bangladesh border has got land-mines along the border.

Earlier, Bangladesh's authorities also demanded this week. It was said that fleeing Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar could not go back to the country - that's why the mine was placed on the border.


Amnesty says they are claiming on the basis of the details of the witnesses and their own weapon experts analysis. One killed and three injured in mine blasts, says Amnesty
