The bodies of 17 more Rohingyas who were drowned in the Naf River have been erupted when the army escaped from Myanmar's Rakhine state in the face of torture and murder.

Today, on Thursday morning, 16 bodies of Naf river in Hannala area of Teknaf upazila and one Rohingya body has been recovered from the Naxalite raid and fled from Rakhine State in the presence of Myanmar Rakhine state.

Teknaf Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mine Uddin confirmed Teknaf Police Station's OC on Monday, confirming that the bodies of 16 Rohingyas and one Rohingya resident have been recovered from the Naf River in Hannala area of Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar on Thursday morning.

Hundreds of Rohingya women and men escaped to Bangladesh after the violence started in Rakhine state on the night of August 24. Many of them are risking their lives in the small boat by entering the rivers and sea into Bangladesh. The International Immigration Agency (IOM) said that around 18,000 Rohingyas have entered Bangladesh in the last one week.

A total of 40 people have been recovered from the incident due to adverse weather conditions. Of these, four bodies were recovered from Teknaf on Wednesday, 19 on Thursday and 17 bodies of the last 17 bodies.

The OC said that Rohingyas are trying to enter Bangladesh by carrying small small boats. At this time there may have been accidents in adverse weather conditions. How many boats or how many accidents have caught it is not yet confirmed.
