Without the battery, how will the phone? The radius around the phone will be powered by radio waves or light energy - this is what researchers say. And that power will take very little.
A study on phone-making without batteries was published on July 1, in the journal 'Proceedings of the Association for Computing Machinery on Interactive, Mobile, Warbel and Ubiquitous Technologies'.
This mobile phone requires only three and a half microbatt power. That's why the phone has been added to the same level of rice as a grain of rice. However, the phone must have a base station for receiving and sending signals. Using light energy, 50 feet from base station and using wireless waves, signals can be sent at 31 feet from base station.
A circuit board, some capacitive touch buttons and some other components have been used to create the phone. The phone is designed to include a yardphone and astonishingly with such a small amount of custom base stations for signaling simultaneously.
Researchers have used cell phones in this framework to call Skype and succeed in catching calls. However, scientists want to improve this phone. In order to enable the display of videos by adding an E-Ink screen and making the conversation more secure.
The phone uses the vibrations generated from the microphone to send the sound, and it creates wireless waves by signal signaling. Using the vibration of the phone's speaker to accept the sound, the radio turns the sound into words. A button has been added to send and hear sounds.
Vassimi Tol, a co-author of this paper, said: "The base station we created was still in the initial state. It will be able to bring mobile phones to everyone without battery. Wi-Fi router must be added to the base station in every room to spread such phones in the future. '
